# Vetting - Integration Starknet to Web3js (plugin)

Hello, we are [ChainSafe.io](http://ChainSafe.io), a multichain R&D firm (Lodestar, Forest…)  
[Web3.js](https://github.com/web3/web3.js) is one of the most popular JS libraries for dApp developers with ~2 million NPM downloads per month, and we are the official maintainers of the library since 2020.

**What do you think of an integration of Starknet in Web3js v4?**

We propose to **build a web3.js plugin** to support the following RPC methods (at least for the first version) to improve the developer experience and expand Starknet accessibility to more JS/TS developers beyond `starknet.js`

- Integrate the following RPC methods in the `web3.starknet` plugin v1:

- `Account information` (getNonce, call)

- `Querying Transactions` (getTransactionByBlockIdAndIndex, getTransactionReceipt, getBlockTransactionCount, getTransactionByHash, pendingTransactions)

- `Fee Estimation` (estimateFee, estimateMessageFee)

Before getting into a [SNIP proposal](https://community.starknet.io/t/about-the-snips-category/2780), it is recommended to get the idea vetted.

Hello, this is a very good idea; I think we should focus a large part of our efforts on these languages (JS/TS), which are clearly the most widespread for developing dapps. As for the starting point of the plugin, it seems completely legitimate to me. Competition is definitely a positive thing, but my problem is that Starknet.js is not yet solid enough for us to split efforts across two libraries. I suggest we consolidate StarknetJS instead.

Hello Chainsafe here! We have great news 🙂

We strongly believe the ecosystem and the 400K Web3Js npm downloads per week could benefit from a Startnet plugin. Thus, we decided to start the development whether this grant proposal go through or not 🙂

We have released the first version of the Web3.js plugin for Starknet 🚀 It is available on [NPM](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@chainsafe/web3-plugin-starknet) and includes documentation.

We would love to explore how we could promote this plugin via Starknet social media channels.

Hello Starknet community. We wanted to share with you want you could do with a Web3js plugin.

ZKsync trusted us to build a plugin, a few months later we were able to have this great demo that feature their paymaster.

This is a great way to attract and show developers what can be done with Web3js and ZKsync technology. We could do the same thing for Starknet !
