Overview

Hello everyone!
I have been an active member in numerous crypto communities throughout the years. Starting with ethereum in 2015, I have acted as an active community member on ethereum, EOS, optimism, celestia, zksync, and Starknet over the years. I am currently an active voter on Stargate and Optimism. I run nodes for Celestia, zkSync, and ethereum (own delegator setup).

I am a hard believer in zkSNARK technology as a way forward for high-throughput yet still decentralized blockchains using L2s, L3s, and perhaps Lxs, in order to keep privacyand integrity to users while enabling transparency.

I am deeply committed to preserving the core values of decentralization, privacy, and integrity while enabling transparency using zk proof technology, primarily through:

  1. Healthy decentralization: An active participation of good actors as delegates, active community members, and voters ensure minimal impact from other potential bad actors.

  2. Long term strategy: commitment to ensuring the long term strategic sustainability and health of the starknet protocol and community, while avoiding short-term profit optimization for holders.

Why me?

I would love to be your Starknet delegate as I have been a zk nerd for a long time, actively testing all new alphas of starknet and participating in the community. Ever since first reading “Scalable, transparent, and post-quantum secure computational integrity”, and seeing the Starknet community form using deeply rational strategies, I have stood on the side of Starknet technology. I have also upheld a 95%+ participation rate across all the other protocols I have been delegating or mining on and plan to spend a lot of time here as well to help build out the ecosystem!

Introduction

Hello I’m Angelo, one of the co-founders of Exothium and contributor to open-source developer tools (Phaser-Starknet Boilerplate). I’ve joined the Starknet ecosystem in May 2022 and since then have been enjoying contributing and participating within the community.

At Exothium, we run a gaming-focused community that aims to support the StarkNet ecosystem by providing open-source tooling.

Exothium’s vision is to openly share our tools and code with the community, which promotes the growth and expansion of the Starknet ecosystem.

I have been running a community focused on gaming where we focus on helping the Starknet ecosystem with open source tools and features. I also participate as a project leader within OnlyDust.

As a content creator, I have been following and contributing to the Starknet ecosystem for over 10 months now. I manage a dedicated Twitter account for the Starknet universe, where I post infographics, news recaps, project presentations, Testnet tutorials, and more. In addition, I helped Swagtimus with his weekly newsletter for over 3 months. After his departure from Scroll, I am now continuing the newsletter in my own name and published a new edition every Monday. The newsletter gathers all the important news of the previous week, including projects, StarkWare infrastructure, important sources for users and developers, and more. My latest project, currently under construction, is the launch of a website entirely dedicated to the Starknet ecosystem.

Why do you want to be a delegate? How do you plan to fulfill this role?

I want to become a delegate because I wish to actively participate in the growth and development of Starknet. I already dedicate a lot of my free time to this ecosystem, and I participate at my own level in its growth from a content creator’s point of view. However, I would like to participate from a new angle. Becoming a delegator would enable me to better understand the proposals, the implications, and to create more qualitative content on these subjects. Why? For the simple reason that being directly involved in delegation will encourage me to devote more time and energy to it.

Please list and explain the core values that will guide your decision-making.

My decisions will prioritize the overall interests of the community, rather than solely my own. As a content creator and community manager with experience in project management, I understand how to listen to users’ needs and recommendations and respond accordingly.

To achieve this, I plan to use the Community Discord as a space for discussion and debate on my role as a delegator, as well as to discuss proposals with my community. I will create a special channel dedicated to these proposals, open for discussion by all members, where I will share my views. Additionally, I will transparently post my opinions on my Twitter account.

Furthermore, I am willing to go against the opinions of strong ecosystem members, such as project creators, even more so if my community supports my opinion. I believe that healthy debate is essential for progress and moving in the right direction.

This will be my first experience in DAO governance as a delegate (I have already voted in DAO proposals with my DeFi tokens, such as on GMX). The unknown does not scare me. In fact, it motivates me as I enjoy learning new things. Therefore, I am excited and happy to learn through this new experience.

Regarding conflicts of interest, I receive support and sponsorship from some ecosystem projects to allow me to focus on Starknet full-time. If the community or the council asks, I am willing to disclose these sponsorships and support.

I have been part of the crypto ecosystem since 2017, and have been fully dedicated to it since 2021 (right after graduating). I spend my days reading, researching, and writing about this ecosystem. As a result, I have a deep understanding of everything related to blockchain, L1, L2, and various DeFi mechanisms that are often considered complex. Thanks to my understanding and writing skills, I have developed skills as a popularizer, making complicated things as simple as possible. Also, I know how to boil things down to the essential elements to make a summary thread of a concept or project.

Moreover, I possess marketing knowledge and skills, thanks to my studies and experience in marketing support for some DeFi projects. Additionally, I have experience in community management, having observed how crypto projects do it for several years and having done it directly for some DeFi projects.

    As a regular retail investor, I would like to share my frustration with KOLs who occupy resources and provide little value, as well as their deceptive practices.

In light of this, I am interested in applying for a governance delegate position, with a focus on representing the interests of individual retail investors. As a retail investor myself, I understand the importance of transparency and accountability in governance, and I believe that my experience in this area would make me an effective delegate.

I am aware that there may be conflicts of interest that arise from my role as a retail investor and my desire to represent the interests of others like me. However, I believe that transparency and open communication with the community will help to mitigate any potential conflicts and ensure that I am always acting in the best interests of the wider retail investor community.

In addition, I believe that my experience as a retail investor gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing individual investors in today’s markets. My name is Benjamin, I’m a SaaS Solofounder in the classic Web2 world looking forward to getting more involved into Web3, I had the occasion to participate to Starknet hackathon with other French boys way too legit technically for my skillset (Abdel and stardust Boyz + Ledger Innovation team). Back to 2016, I heated my student housing with Litcoin mining on “Rabbitpool”, but lost most of my precious token into the cryptoexchange Cryptsy. Still may more worth than doing LAN of AOE2 :slightly_smiling_face:
