Significant increase in network usage

Network achieved full sustainability
2026 Technical Roadmap. The team has learned from v0.14’s challenges and is shifting to incremental, frequent releases. Key commitments:
-
No breaking changes planned for at least H1 2026
-
RPC v0.8 will remain stable until at least May
-
One-year deprecation period announced for all RPCs
-
Minor versions will now require governance votes (change from major-only)
Throughput Improvements. Goal: Scale network capacity 5-10x without parallelization.
-
Bottleneck removal planned for end of January (silent upgrade, no version change)
-
Current capacity can safely handle 3-4x current traffic
-
Target: Each application able to do 10x current gas consumption
Decentralized Validation Roadmap. Target: Full decentralized validation by Q2/Q3 2026, with gradual rollout:
-
Phase 1 – Close testnet launch: External parties run nodes, participate in consensus without blocking production. Feedback collection phase.
-
Phase 2 – Expanded Stakers: All stakers required to run nodes. Connection between staking protocol and validation explored.
-
Phase 3 – Full Decentralization: Production-tested, all stakers familiar with operations. Full decentralized validation activated.
QA & Testing Improvements. In response to v0.14 challenges:
-
Smaller, incremental releases to catch issues earlier
-
Significantly improved logging and dashboards for debugging
-
L1 handler coverage added (previously missing)
