Hi All,
My name Jesse, I have actively taken part in a range of StarkNet related events, attending most of them, which has allowed me to engage with the community and grasp their views and needs. Additionally, I have contributed to multiple DeFi projects and strongly support decentralisation. I am convinced that DAO is invaluable and have taken part in the governance of many projects by staking their tokens.

Moreover, I have personally participated in various alpha projects and tested their products, providing feedback to improve their functionality and user experience. I can identify potential issues and report them to enhance the product. Due to my participation in various ambassador programs, I can communicate effectively with other testers and developers and provide comprehensive feedback based on my test results, including evaluating performance, stability, usability, and security.

I am thrilled to be your StarkNet representative, and I view it as a privilege rather than a burden. I am optimistic about the future of L2 and believe that decentralisation is a wise choice that rewards those who add value, and incentives are the best driver. As a representative, I will collaborate with the team to create a robust, community-centric network for StarkNet.

Hi All,
I understand that delegation is a decentralised process, which means my actions as a Delegate will not be governed by the protocol. Instead, Delegators and token-holders will evaluate my performance and actions.

As a Delegate, I am devoted to actively participating in the governance of StarkNet and keeping up-to-date with the ecosystem’s latest developments. I will engage with the community, answer inquiries, and vote on proposals for as long as I remain an active Delegate. Furthermore, I will act in good faith and in the best interests of the StarkNet ecosystem, reviewing proposals to ensure their overall benefit.

I am aware of the importance of avoiding conflicts of interest and assure you that there are none.

I will offer clear and easy-to-understand explanations for my votes and express my views on the StarkNet Forum or other platforms to provide token-holders with a transparent view of their delegation’s use.

If I decide to withdraw from StarkNet governance, I will notify the appropriate channels to enable token-holders to re-delegate before my term ends.

I believe that StarkNet’s decentralization is a groundbreaking endeavor, and I am honored to be a part of this community. I am confident that the community will hold Delegates to a high standard and establish a strong accountability system that strengthens StarkNet.

Thanks,
Kevin

  • Why do you want to be a delegate? How do you plan to fulfill this role?
We are very excited about the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the StarkNet ecosystem. We would like to be a delegate, firstly, because we want to have a say in the future of Ethereum scaling. Just recently we rebranded our entire business to focus strictly on L2s and scaling Ethereum. After spending time at StarkNet CC with the community, and interacting since, we’ve been blown away by the community and overall growth of the tech. We believe that StarkNet is a very, very promising scaling solution that can help drive innovation and adoption in the DeFi/Web3 space, and we want to be a part of that. We believe that our experience and skills make us well-suited for this role, and we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to the best of our abilities. We plan to fulfill this role by actively participating in governance discussions and decision-making processes within the broader StarkNet ecosystem, as well as within individual DAOs as a tokenholder. We will continue to stay active and up-to-date on the latest developments and proposals, and will work to ensure that the interests of the community are represented and heard always. We aim to be a collaborative and communicative delegate, working closely with other delegates and community members to build consensus and drive progress. We believe that effective communication and collaboration are essential for successful governance, and we thoroughly enjoy this process. We will bring our 4+ years of technical expertise and analytical skills to this role, helping to evaluate various proposals and make informed decisions that benefit the StarkNet ecosystem as a whole.

  • Please list and explain the core values that will guide your decision-making.
We are committed to transparency, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and responsiveness. Transparency is essential for effective governance in crypto. We’ve seen too many times where the community is left in the dark. We will strive to be open and honest in our communication with the community, and will work to ensure that all delegates and tokenholders have access to the information they need to make informed decisions. Accountability is critical for ensuring that governance decisions are fair and done properly. We will take 100% responsibility for our actions as a delegate, to represent our constituent tokenholders to the best of our ability. Collaboration is obviously very essential for achieving our shared goals within the broader community, working with other delegates and community members is a key component. Next, and arguably the most important, is innovation. To put it simply: We support people and projects that are building novel, creative mechanisms in web3. We believe a focus on this will propel StarkNet to new heights as a frontier for talented builders to launch projects. Last but not least, responsiveness is essential for effective governance and progress to be made forward consistently. Overall, we expect these 5 core values to drive our decision-making as a StarkNet delegate.

  • Please provide your past experience in DAO governance.

We have contributed to several DAOs, most specifically UMA, Aave, and SX Network. Our contributions include technical UMIPs to add price feeds to the UMA protocol. Also, community growth proposals as a recipient of an Aave Grants in 2021 to further education of DeFi and the Ethereum space in general. We’ve written grant proposals for a number of communities and secured grants from the SX Network community fund for seeding new projects such as AthleteX. This experience has made our team a well-rounded contributor to DAO governance.

We’ve also worked with several DAO tooling and governance projects such as Tally, Boardroom, Flipside, oSnap, Butter, and Commonwealth. The combination of network connections to these teams and experience working with governance tools gives us a special edge in pioneering DAO governance for Starknet. Dear All,

My primary goal as a potential Starknet delegate will be to enhance the platform’s accessibility and user-friendliness for everyone. One of the significant challenges with the blockchain is its complex nature, which can discourage the average user.

Furthermore, scalability is a critical challenge that the blockchain must overcome to improve transaction speeds and reduce high fees. To address this issue, I intend to propose solutions such as sharding and layer-2 technologies that will allow the network to handle a more significant number of transactions without compromising its speed or security.

I am confident that my dedication, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn will make me a valuable candidate for the delegate position. No potential conflicts of interest.

Many Thanks,
Melanie
