• Why do you want to be a delegate? How do you plan to fulfill this role?
  We are very excited about the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the StarkNet ecosystem. We would like to be a delegate, firstly, because we want to have a say in the future of Ethereum scaling. Just recently we rebranded our entire business to focus strictly on L2s and scaling Ethereum. After spending time at StarkNet CC with the community, and interacting since, we’ve been blown away by the community and overall growth of the tech. We believe that StarkNet is a very, very promising scaling solution that can help drive innovation and adoption in the DeFi/Web3 space, and we want to be a part of that. We believe that our experience and skills make us well-suited for this role, and we are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to the best of our abilities. • Please provide your past experience in DAO governance.

We have contributed to several DAOs, most specifically UMA, Aave, and SX Network. Our contributions include technical UMIPs to add price feeds to the UMA protocol. Also, community growth proposals as a recipient of an Aave Grants in 2021 to further education of DeFi and the Ethereum space in general. We’ve written grant proposals for a number of communities and secured grants from the SX Network community fund for seeding new projects such as AthleteX. This experience has made our team a well-rounded contributor to DAO governance.

We’ve also worked with several DAO tooling and governance projects such as Tally, Boardroom, Flipside, oSnap, Butter, and Commonwealth. The combination of network connections to these teams and experience working with governance tools gives us a special edge in pioneering DAO governance for Starknet. We are able to bring our unique experience and leverage existing relationships as a Starknet delegate to build strategic partnerships within the Starknet ecosystem.

Hello everyone,

My name is Alex, but you can call me Syphilis. I discovered StarkNet thanks to Samy Live’s interviews on the Journal du Coin, a French media outlet. I have recently become deeply involved in this ecosystem. Although I didn’t join early on, my primary objective was to learn the basics of coding and master the art of running nodes on the blockchain. That’s why I started CS50.

A few weeks ago, armed with my newfound knowledge, I began running nodes on my side, for various projects like Shardeum, Nibiru, Gnoland, and Massa. Eventually, I stumbled upon StarkNet’s tutorial for running a node. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of figuring out how to run my own node and, in the process, discovered the vibrant StarkNet community and ecosystem.

I have engaged with people within this ecosystem and have come across some fantastic projects. I noticed that some French individuals were struggling to run their own nodes, so I offered private assistance and even wrote a Medium article in French to help them out. Now, I am eager to contribute to this project and embark on my first DAO experience.

I am excited about the possibilities that StarkNet offers and the potential for decentralized governance. Becoming a delegate would allow me to actively participate in shaping the future of StarkNet and contribute my unique perspective.
