Hello StarkNet enthusiasts!
“With great power comes great responsibility.”
This Peter Parker Principle perfectly describes the essence of governance in crypto. Here are my key points about it and how I will contribute to the StarkNet:
1. Delegating voting power from centralized teams to thousands of users worldwide gives them great power.
In the past, I have been actively participating in the governance of many crypto projects - Optimism, Stargate, Paraswap, Shell Protocol, AAVE, Lido, Goldfinch, 1inch, Gitcoin, CowSwap, and Hashflow. Based on it, I have gained a broad experience in Decentralized Governance.
Key point 1: The protocols with more equally distributed voting power allow truly decentralized governance and are more transparent in the decision-making.
Example: The voting in the Stargate DAO in January over the OTC purchase of $STG tokens let the community decide on the deal, which could be financially lucrative but not necessarily beneficial for the protocol’s development.
My contribution: As StarkNet Delegate, I would study each proposal and vote on it with all my best knowledge.
2. The users must fully realize the great responsibility the protocols give them.
Since being actively involved in the decentralized crypto space since September 2021, I have examined and voted on more than 100+ proposals in the abovementioned protocols.
Key point 2: Delegation of the Voting Power alone will only benefit protocol if Delegates vote regularly and deliberately.
Example: Optimism decentralization mechanism rewarded users who had repeatedly voted on Snapshot and educated many users on its importance.
My vision: As StarkNet Delegate, I would contribute to discussions over the proposals and draw attention to them on Social Media.
Some more information about me:
During my activity in the crypto space, I have involved myself in crypto in different roles: As a node-runner, I have supported more than ten nodes (StarkNet, Aptos, Minima, KYVE, Forta, etc.). Also, I have written smart contracts on some L2s, such as Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync, and Taiko. Moreover, I have participated in testnets on Rollups or L1 blockchains such as Aptos, Sui, Avalanche, and Kiln Testnet. Finally, I have been an early adopter or tester of many projects on different blockchains.
Conflicts of Interest
I don’t have any Conflicts of Interest but will state if any arise during the duration of the delegation.
