Airdrop proposal

All of you did a great job, and a great proposal. But too much scrutiny may backfire. apt is not as successful as it should be. I think we should be active in the community, not just for the drop, but for the long run

In order to be eligible for stark airdrop (if any), users should meet the following conditions (at least 2-3 items are eligible, the more qualified, the more airdrop, and the 1.2-1.5 times increase if all are qualified)

The premise is completed before a certain date (snapshot date):

  1. Use at least 3 dapps on the starnet main network

  2. There are at least 10 tx transactions on the main network of starnet, and they are active for at least 3 weeks. The interval between the first transaction and the latest transaction is 30 days;

  3. More than $10 in the wallet on starnetā€™s main website

  4. Having used starknit bridge;

  5. More than 3 coins tx on the ETH main network (find the ETH address through the starknet bridge)

  6. MintAt least one NFT

  7. Having used the starnet forum and obtained the certificate issued by starnet;

It is important to consider all perspectives and feedback before finalizing any criteria for an airdrop program. and consider Please consider late users, because they may be your real users in the future. In the hype of airdrops, many people join quickly but might be they are not rel users

Balance is the key, not hurt real users, also avoid hunter whales. Its hard to make drop, but multiple rounds airdrop may solve the problems. First drop should attract more users.

Airdrops should focus on fairness. I only agree with part of your proposal. aptos filters no one and optimism about airdrop strategy is worth studying.

It is important to strike a balance between rewarding active participants in the Starknet network and incentivizing adoption of the network among a broader community.

Could utilize Sybil protection with GitPassport,Galxe,Etherscore etc to remove users with multiple adresses.
That way,one user one airdrop.

The idea has good intentions, but then there would be a downside, in that you would have a hard time excluding a large number of Sybil with small transactions

This goes hand in hand with studying OPs airdrop rounds. Initial airdrop (or chance of an upcoming airdrop) will attract users and changing/expanding criteria for the next rounds will make the TVL stick

They kept the blockchain centralized to protect it during the development phase, that was a genius decision. But I wish the airdrop goes completely decentralized.

The early experience is very bad, there are almost no apps available, how can it be judged as not a user through some behaviors?

It is somewhat surprising, but it seems that the Starknet team was and is focused only on developers and, unfortunately, it plans to give a significant percentage of the airdrop to developers, without paying attention to the community.

In my opinion there should be different airdrops for different amount of effort, people who were here the earliest and made the most transactions across multiple dapps and node operators should receive the most tokens (unfortunately im not including myself here). I donā€™t think the amount of funds in your wallet should play a big role since a lot of sybil farmers make a few transactions but they make sure they are pretty massive (1000$ +). Iā€™d like to hear thoughts on my take maybe iā€™m missing something

I donā€™t know why folks keep discussing this eligibility criteria, I believe only the project foundation has the right to determine eligibility and they do that base on data available to them. Except folks plan to influence the decision of the foundation. I would implore everyone to wait for the Foundationā€™s announcement on eligibility; my only question to the Foundation is why is doing their work taking so long? I will guess the technology is ready and the community is ready. Let the movement begins!

In fact, I think those participating in the Starknet testnet should also get airdrops. Because the user experience of the Starknet network is still poor even now, users who participated in the testnet in the early days need to spend a lot of time to complete an interaction. I believe that many of them are really supporting the development of Starknet. Also I am in favor of sybil checking on the testnet.

Use the Starknet bridge (since it is still a true alpha version and there is a risk of losing money, those who risked their money for the alpha testing of the product should get the airdrop)

  1. Hold specific tokens: This is one of the most common airdrop conditions. By requiring users to hold specific tokens, you can attract more users to participate and increase demand for the token. At the same time, this can also help improve the tokenā€™s liquidity and market performance.
  2. Participate in specific social media platforms: By requiring users to participate in specific social media platforms, you can increase the tokenā€™s exposure and attract more users to participate. For example, you can require users to retweet, like or reply to specific posts on Twitter to qualify for the airdropped tokens.
  3. Participate in specific decentralized applications: If your token is related to a specific decentralized application, you can require users to participate in that application, such as making deposits, borrowing or trading in specific Defi applications, to qualify for the token airdrop.
  4. Use the StarkNet forum: Guide users to use the forum and obtain a certificate.

  1. Registered participants of the Starknet forum (since these are people who are really interested in the Starknet network, who participate in its creation, discussion, work and monitor its development). A snapshot should be taken before the publication of this topic, as many will start registering for the sake of a retrodrop. Also, it is not necessary to include this criterion as mandatory in the sum with the previous criteria.
