Airdrop proposal

After reviewing, I can agree to most of the criteria. I would like to also add that early adoption be a multiplier instead of criteria as well as Gitcoin donations. Second, I think those who have deployed smart contracts using Cairo should be given a considerable multiplier as we should be rewarding our builders more than our users.

If the foundation want to filter out sybils, the most effective way is KYC-based solution like BAB token, galxe passports, etc… or KYC solution that takes and verify ur real identify then send u a verified token, after that deletes all ur KYC information. I know its centralized but its also fair.
Another way is to open registration for starknet community to register their airdrops. By registration i mean summiting all evidence of them contributing to the network. This solution requires massive manual verification but it is the best to ensure each loyal Starknet participants to get the most airdrop.
After all, airdrop is just a way to promote the network at the lowest cost. The products are the one should be prioritized because its what evolves the technology and human.

I lost lots of money on blockchain, but I love crypto world, in the last week, I come back to the market again, and heard about starknet, fantastic project and now I read this article… good people makes good world. Good luck.

Actually it’s very good idea to refer to Gitcoin passport. or make the different level based on different scores.

In my opinion it is very important to identify people how is in the project from the beginning, a lot f tmes project don´t consider people who interact with devnet but it is important, i suppose that project can recopilate data from those stages.

In my opinion, the most important thing is to block all accounts with the same point in time for small amounts in bulk.

Add a criterion: about the creation time of the starknet account, earlier more airdrop, later less airdrop

I will say, early users weather test-net users or main-net user or both should be treated equally. everyone is making thier contribution. aptos didnt filter anyone they just came outta blue. so filtering doesn’t really makes sense.

Aptos was a new chain,The needed user to populate the Chain when it launched,Starknet utilizes ETH as main Gas user. completley different setting imo.

It’s too early to discuss airdrops. The user experience is terrible right now. The top priority is to upgrade the network and improve user experience. Looking forward to the next version of starknet. I believe Starknet will get better and better, and Starknet will definitely become L2’s most dazzling star.

Web3 does not only have old users, a project also has new users and old users. Ignoring either one of the two is, in my opinion, sacrilege to Web3.

what makes you think like that?

Slow transaction speed. Transaction execution takes time, now it’s faster than before, but still.
Not too many dApps deployed on mainnet.
Low TVL, it’s raising of course, but still low.

It’s doesn’t mean that it’s terrible, I never said that. But we still have to many things to improve.

I believe that those who have risked their money by investing in the network should be given the same priority as those who have used other Starkware products. I am wondering ignoring early adopters and reminds the community that the success and ethos of web3 lies with the Starknet community, who are the rightful users of the network. Overall, I think equal treatment of all users of StarkNet Mainnet Alpha is important.

Requiring users to have a certain number of tokens in their balance may exclude participants of lower financial means who may still be important members of the community. Similarly, requiring multiple transactions on different days may disadvantage participants who do not actively trade or interact with the network but still support its development. In addition to this, what reason do users have to keep a

The points-based system is a fair mechanism :grinning:

I think the number of interactions and balance on the mainnet need not be a judgment criterion, we use L2 because of the high gas cost of the ETH mainnet. At the same time, contributors who provide full node hosting should be appropriately rewarded.

Keeping both the criteria and method of claiming airdrop is as important as eachother, plus tackling wallet farming/sybills is key to an successful airdrop to on board and keep users active on the blockchain, perhaps the airdrop mechanism could be stakedrop mechanics with having to use the blockchain before a certain percentage of allocated airdrop is released, keep things simple and clear and the airdrop will be a successful one

Use the Starknet bridge (since it is still a true alpha version and there is a risk of losing money, those who risked their money for the alpha testing of the product should get the airdrop)

That’s right, testnet users don’t need airdrops, because they don’t need money, and mainnet users are real community users, especially now that the GAS fee is very high, and everyone spends money to use the project and test.
